EXPERIENCE

Work placement - Art Department, Great Cornard Upper School, Sudbury, Suffolk  (8 weeks)

A once a week, 8 week placement within the Arts department as a classroom assistant.  This experience involved showing and discussing my own practice with GCSE students and assisting with preparation for their final exams.

Voluntary work -  School Library, Wells Hall Primary School, Great Cornard (1 week project)

A 1 week project consisting of team work. During this week myself and a team of 4 others organised letters to be sent home with the children asking them to put forward their ideas of their favourite book characters, which we would then sort through and design on the walls.  This project enabled me to time manage, project manage and stretch my organisation skills. I  was able to put together a cake sale during breaktime at the school with which we successfully raised over £70.  With this money we were able to treat the children to new books and colourful bean bags, making their library a miore stimulating place for reading.

Voluntary work -  Lincoln Young Journalist Academy, Monks Abbey Primary School

A project by which I worked alongside one other person.  Together, having asked the children what designs they would like, we designed and decorated a store room transforming it into a place for the children to keep their equipment and to produce their work.
